SCRANTON'S STORY: ORAL HISTORY PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHS
Over the past two years, the Scranton community has explored themes of history and identity through Scranton’s Story: Our Nation’s Story, a series of lectures and events funded in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities.This exhibition showcases photographs and oral histories gathered from twenty-five community members as part of the project’s final phase, giving voice to a wide array of Scranton experiences and connecting them to American history.

To further promote this project and the exhibit, the Lackawanna Historical Society will host a special "Members Only" tour with Hope Horn Gallery Director, Darlene Miller-Lanning and Scranton Stories Project Director, Julie Schumacher Cohen.

Exhibit opens at the Hope Horn Gallery on October 27 and runs through November 17, 2023. As part of the October 27th opening, a panel discussion will be held at Brennan Hall Room 228 from 5pm - 6pm followed by a public reception at Hyland Hall Room 407 from 6pm - 8pm
